The Kahuna Surfing Academy is South Africa's most comprehensive surf coaching facility and offers a wide spectrum of services designed to improve the performance of surfers of all levels of ability.

Ranging from novices who are just starting out in the surfing lifestyle through to elite level professional surf stars competing on the world tour, the Kahuna Surfing Academy has programs that will enhance your enjoyment in the surf, develop your fitness and manoeuvres, improve your contest results, assist you to obtain sponsorship or even teach you to become a surfing coach.

The KSA is owned and operated by Dene Botha, SA's highest internationally qualified surf coach, and managed by veteran surfing promoter and 1983 Springbok surfing coach Paul Botha, who collectively share over 60 years of surfing experience on the South African coastline and in more than 30 countries worldwide.

Situated in Kommetjie, the epicentre of surfing on the Cape Peninsula, the KSA offers one-on-one and group coaching sessions in Cape Town along with Hi-Performance Surf Camps, onsite Contest Coaching and Surfing South Africa (SSA) accredited Surf Instructor courses countrywide, all using the latest available international techniques and standards.

The KSA also promotes the surfing lifestyle and surf competitions, runs the annual Kahuna Surf Series comprising three contests for novice surfers, handles surf trips and surf training camps for international surfers visiting South Africa and is active in addressing surfers' concerns such as sharks, pollution and beach access.
