Sarah Nicholson (UCT) improved on her third place finish in 2009 to clinch the ladies’ crown ahead of Lisa Auditore (US), Kerry Hodgkinson (UCT) and Jessica Genrich (Rhodes), who finished in that order.
The annual universities surfing championships is presented under the auspices of University Sport SA, which is affiliated to the South African Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee (SASCOC). The tournament is sanctioned by Surfing South Africa (SSA), the national governing body for the sport.
